The Three Cows

Cows are very special because they give us milk, which is important for us to drink. Cows eat grass in a special way. After gobbling it up, the grass goes into their belly and turns into mush. Then, the mush comes back to their mouth so they can chew it again and swallow it. When insects bother cows, they use their long tails to swish them away.

Cows And Milk

Milk from cows is used to make cheese, butter, and yogurt. Baby cows, called calves, drink a lot of milk, up to 12 liters a day! Out of all breeds of cattle, the Friesian cow produces the most milk.

The Horses

Horses are very gentle and smart. To be friends with a horse, let it smell you first. Offer it a sugar cube or a piece of carrot. Horses have been friends with humans for a long time and helped us by carrying things and letting people ride them.
